Two weeks ‘til Christmas exercise challenge!

Join me in a festive challenge to keep you in the holiday spirit while staying active!

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or simply enjoy to getting into the snowy seasonal spirit –this list has got something for EVERYONE!

14 days accompanied by 14 holiday inspired exercises that you can do with friends and family!

What could be more exciting than that? Besides my upcoming post about the homemade Rudolph Mix I made :)! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, enjoy this dearfitkris original holiday fitness challenge, SETS x REPS are listed after the movement’s description.

DAY 1: SANTA SLEIGH PUSH

Use your gym’s weighted sled and keep adding weights, aka Santa’s presents ;), after each set until failure 20 yards x 5.

DAY 2: MENORAH STYLE STEP-UPS

Step-up to press using a bench. Stack weights at shoulders, facing palms out by your ears as you step-up onto the beach while pressing dumbbells up overhead, creating a candle stick figure 4 x 12.

DAY 3: DREIDEL DASH

Prepare to play outside. Pair a numerical value with each side of the dreidel to determine how many yards the person rolling will have to run 5 x 5.

DAY 4: COOKIE JAR TWISTS

A festive take on the ab exercise known as the Russian twists! Sit cradled on a mat with your knees bent up to your chest and use your lower abdominals to keep your feet off the ground as you squeeze your obliques twisting a weight about the same feel of a FULL JAR OF COOKIES from one side to the other in a semi circle 5 x 25.

DAY 5: REIGNDEER LEAPS

Classic karaoke-style leaps, add some high-knees or back kicks for extra flare 40 yards 5 x 5.

DAY 6: ELF MAKERS

Man-makers with HEAVY weights! It’s important for elves to keep their upper bodies in peak physical shape for loading Santa’s sleigh 3 x 15.

DAY 7: ORNAMENT SLAMS

Ball slams, slamming the medicine ball as hard as you can and picking up as fast as possible 5 x 20.

DAY 8: SNOW ANGEL ABS

Alternating toe touch, keep your arms and legs raised for a more challenging version of this move, 10 on each side for a total of 4 x 20.

DAY 9: CHRISTMAS TREE TINSEL CROSS OVER

Kneeling ball chops from one side to the other as precisely and controlled as you would apply tons of tinsel to your Christmas tree 4 x 20.

DAY 10: KWANZAA CANDLE LUNGES

Walking lunges holding a pair of kettlebells at your side as you progress forward, 7 on each leg for a total of 4 x 14.

DAY 11: SNOWMAN SQUAT

Goblet style squat pressing weight up overhead while propelling your body upward from the squat position, 5 x 15.

DAY 12: CHIMNEY CLEAN

This one is a bit advanced so feel free to use the appropriate regressions. Clean to press 3 x 10.

DAY 13: RENEGADE STOCKING STUFFER

Renegade row with LIGHT weight. Assume plank position and pull weight up in a rowing motion for 4 x 12.

DAY 14: JUMP FOR JOY

Squat jumps with JOY for 5 x 20 because it’s CHRISTMAS DAY and you made it through the entire challenge!

Now go enjoy some eggnog while reminiscing with your friends and family about all the BLOOPERS that inevitably happened throughout your completion of this challenge.
